European/Asian Weather

This report gives a general forecast for the next 10 days or so for these important world energy consuming region.

Sample Report:

Northern European Gas Oil

Highs yesterday were in the 30s or even just some 20s across the bulk of Europe eastward through Russia. Temperatures through the end of the coming weekend will be very cold in Europe and western Russia with readings in some places averaging around ten degrees below normal. 6-10 day temperatures will be moderating back to normal or above normal in western Europe and southern Europe, still below normal in eastern Europe and in most of the former Soviet Union. 11-15 day temperatures look to be moderating most everywhere and average close to normal. Precipitation will be above normal over the next week in eastern Europe through Russia.

Far East

Highs yesterday were warmer than in recent days with industrialized areas of China as well as Japan having highs in the 40s to a few 50s. The worst of the cold is behind us for these areas, with readings averaging close to normal over the next week (though still below normal in Manchuria). A similar temperature regime is forecast for the second week of the two-week forecast. It looks wet throughout basically all of China's main grain areas over the next week, with the Yangtze River Valley and points just southward seeing big rains again over the next week and unusually heavy precipitation (given what time of year it is) forecast for much of Manchuria as well.
